Guarantor of the study program: prof. Ing. Petr Mikulášek, CSc.

The aim of the doctoral degree programme is to provide graduates with a wide range of knowledge that will allow them to work in both academia and industry. Graduates have detailed knowledge of the theoretical foundations of chemical and process engineering, bioengineering and material engineering, and the experimental and practical aspects of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering specializations. In this way, graduates will be qualified to work in basic or applied research focused on chemical and process engineering, but also in other fields such as environmental protection, material engineering, bioengineering, and ecotoxicology.

Graduates from Chemical Engineering are eligible to work in development laboratories, design offices and manufacturing businesses and chemical, food and pharmaceutical industry firms. In the course of their degree, students are taught to work with modern computing systems and modern professional chemical-engineering programmes to simulate large and complex production lines. They are also knowledgeable about balance-sheet calculation issues, fluid flow theory, heat exchange, diffusion processes, chemical reactors, and system engineering.
