What will you learn?
In Graphic Arts and Printing Technology, we will teach you the basics of all the chemical disciplines that will enable you to understand the processes taking place in printing. It will also expose you to a wide range of printing techniques such as offset, screen printing, gravure printing, pressless printing, and digital printing. You will learn about the production technologies of printing inks, lacquers and printed materials. However, prior to actual printing, it is important that you know about the informatics, especially the work with modern image and text editing programmes, which we will also acquaint you with.
Your career prospects
As a graduate, you will have theoretical knowledge of polygraph techniques and technologies, as well as polygraph engineering. But most of all, you will have practical experience from laboratories. This will make it easy for you to find employment in printing companies, advertising agencies and publishing houses. Ideally, you will be able to take up professions such as a production technologist, a senior worker in DTP studios, a chief technical editor, or an independent entrepreneur in the industry.
