The research activity of JLSSC is focused on three research areas - non-crystalline materials, thermoelectrics meterials and intercalation compounds. All three areas have a common basis - the dual nature of cohesive forces in materials (covalent and intermolecular interactions), which have a structural arrangement in other aspects similar to supramolecular systems.
The research program is related and will be a continuation of the scientific and pedagogical program of FChT. The link between research and teaching means that JLSC cooperates and will continue cooperation with students of FChT departments and institutes - cooperation on bachelor's, diploma and dissertation theses.
