Prof. Ing. Aleš Imramovský, Ph.D. completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Charles University in Prague. Since 2008, he has been working as an academic at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology, Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice. In 2013, he was appointed associate professor in the field of Technology of Organic Materials and in 2022, he was appointed professor in the field of Technology of Organic Materials. He continues to work at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology where he holds the position of Head of the Department of Organic Technology.

Scientific activity in the field of organic synthesis. Synthesis of new organic materials with advanced optical and biological properties. Optimising production of organic specialities.

Awards

  • University of Pardubice Rector’s Award “For productive collaboration with industry”, 2022.
  • Alfred Bader Award in the field of bioinorganic and bioorganic chemistry (2015). The award was given by the Czech Chemical Society for the set of works entitled “Preparation and study of new salicylamide derivatives and chemical modification of selected clinically used antituberculosis drugs”.
  • Josef Hlávka Award (2007). The award was given by the Josef, Marie and Zdeňka Hlávka Endowment Foundation on the basis of proposal by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Charles University in Prague.
