Description:
Service dogs are used for many operations including search for people, detecting drugs, explosives or other materials. The issue of detection of improvised explosives (home-produced) using specially trained dog?s abilities has not yet been comprehensively addressed despite the fact that this group of explosives is increasingly used in terrorist attacks. The aim of this project is development of complex methodology for detecting improvised explosives by dogs. Specifics related to potentially high risk and high sensitivity of these explosives will be addressed.
