Analytical and molecular biological methods for studying the structure and function of biological systems

Provider: Univerzita Pardubice
Programme: Studentská grantová soutěž
Implementation period: 01.01.13 - 31.12.13
Workplace: Fakulta chemicko-technologická - Katedra biologických a biochemických věd
Investigator: Kanďár Roman
Description:
The aim of project is the involvement of graduate and postgraduate students in the department working groups and their participation in research. The research group of immunochemistry is focused on the study, isolation, structural characterization and modification of proteins in complex samples using of enzymes or antibodies covalently bonded to magnetic particles. The research group of biochemistry is engaged in the effectiveness of cholinesterase inhibitors by various analytical methods, study of fatty acids profile in plasma of patients with diabetes mellitus, oxidative stress in humans and new cardiac markers. The research group of microbiology is focused on laboratory diagnosis of mycoplasmas and ureaplasmas in the urogenital tract and the detection of toxins in food samples. The research group of biology and physiology is engaged in monitoring of mitochondrial damage in the presence of hepatotoxins and toxicity of new xenobiotics and natural compounds using of modern mammalian in vitro models.
