Description:
Study of new inorganic materials will be specialized on new and non-traditional crystalline and amorphous materials for optoelectronics, optics and electronics (narrow-gap semiconductors, amorphous and glassy inorganic materials based on chalcogenides, Phosphates and oxides, materials for electronic memories based on phase changes and ionic conductivity changes). Another group of materials under study will be compounds for homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, cytostatics based on organometallic and coordination compounds. Among organometallic and coordination compounds study will be devoted to compounds of the elements of 3.-5th, 13.-15th group of periodic table containing chelate- bulk- or spectator-ligands. Study will be devoted also to the amide ligands containing another heteroatom in their structure, e.g. phosphorus or boron. At the synthetized organometallic compounds their structure and catalytic properties will be investigated. For the oxide and phosphate glasses their basic physical properties will be investigated as well as their chemical durability, thermal stability and optical properties. The relations between their chemical composition, structure and properties will be evaluated. Chalcogenide glasses will be studied as bulk materials and thin films; Thin films will be studied as perspective materials for their photoinduced changes and their application. Electrical properties will be studied namely for silver- and lithium-containing glasses.
