Laser micro-patterning of the high-refractive index glasses

Provider: Grantová agentura ČR
Programme: Standardní projekty
Implementation period: 01.01.19 - 31.12.21
Workplace: Fakulta chemicko-technologická - Katedra obecné a anorganické chemie

Description:
The proposed project focuses on the study of key parameters influencing the laser direct patterning with respect to the formation of diffraction gratings. There will be prepared the set of binary and ternary chalcogenide and heavy metal oxide glasses with the high refractive index. The materials will be illuminated with the whole set of light sources and if possible, the intensity threshold of photo-induced expansion, crystallization, damage and ablation will be determined. Forms (micro-lenses; -craters and -lines) will be characterized with the respect to their depth, volume, curvature and degree of chemical/structural/mechanical and optical characteristic changes and the key parameters for laser direct patterning will be identified. The expected output of the project is to be the preparation of the periodic structure by the laser patterning into glasses with the high refractive index and its functionality and stability verification.
