Description:
In the area of environmental and chemical engineering the project is focused on the development and application methods and techniques for the pre-treatment and cleaning of the process and municipal wastewater using pressure driven membrane processes, electro-membrane processes, indirect electrochemical oxidation, chemical reduction, heterogeneous photocatalysis, adsorption, and various biological methods. The project is currently focused on the analytical methods to evaluation of types and concentrations of contaminants and on the methods of preparation and subsequent analysis of the samples as well as testing the behaviour of present species or solutions relating to the protection of human health, the environment, and material analysis. In the area of value management, the research will be focused on the impacts and opportunities of implementing Industry 4.0 principles, new models of shared economy, servitization and project management. Furthermore, the development of modern procedures and ways of communicating socially responsible activities and PR actions, reducing environmental impacts, for example as a result of packaging innovation for consumer chemistry.
