Polymeric fiber materials for capture and killing of bacteria and viruses and methodology for evalution of the capture efficiency
Provider: Technologická agentura České republiky
Programme: Program aplikovaného výzkumu, experimentálního vývoje a inovací GAMA 2
Implementation period: 01.09.20 - 31.12.20
Workplace:
Fakulta chemicko-technologická - CEMNAT/věda z ostatních zdrojů
Investigator: Macák Jan
Description:
Project focuses on the synthesis and testing of fiber products for face masks from materials that are able to capture and destroy viruses. Selected materials will be breathable, hydrolysis-resistant and will be modified by suitable inorganic materials to achieve the highest possible antiviral effect. A methodology for the determination of antiviral properties of the fiber materials will be developed, because it is currently missing. Producers of face masks will benefit from project results.
