Description:
The project proposal focuses on the synthesis, antimicrobial properties and application of lactic acid derivatives, which could be useful as disinfecting agents in cosmetics and toiletries. We designed synthetic approaches that can utilize lactic acid derivatives which reflect the structural features of preferred and commercially available disinfectants. The advantage of the proposed technology is application of raw materials from renewable sources and environmentally friendly production methods. The project proposal envisages with the implementation of lactic acid derivatives in formulations of household products, testing of antimicrobial activities, verification of material properties and patent protection of know-how.
