Sensors and Systems for Industry 4.0

Provider: Technologická agentura České republiky
Programme: NCK, 2. VS
Implementation period: 01.03.23 - 30.06.26
Workplace: Fakulta chemicko-technologická - Katedra polygrafie a fotofyziky
Investigator: Syrový Tomáš
Description:
The goal of project is primarily the research, development and production of highly innovative sensors, functional electronic structures for control and automation, including use in the environment, these are large-scale elements that can be molded into a 3D shape, applied to 3D surfaces, or directly realized in a 3D design. The goal is, for example, sensors of physical quantities on flexible polymer and rigid ceramic substrates and electronic systems especially for the automotive industry, industrial automation, industrial additive manufacturing and logistics and environmental protection. The goal is the development and implementation of components and systems with an increase in the efficiency of the activity and a reduction in the energy demand of the system, support of efficiency with renewable resources (energy harvesting), reduction of material demand, increase in the long-term life and resistance of systems, development of semi-distributed sensor systems with direct connection to IoT and cloud processing of sensor data based on fiber-optic diffraction elements for detection in gambling environments. These approaches will be developed in DP using appropriate company technologies, such as 3D printing methods, thermal transfer, lamination processes, or direct printing on 3D surfaces. Printing technology (Roll-to-Roll, Sheet-to-Sheet and 3D) for the connection of high productivity, low production costs, energy and material economy and, thanks to digital printing, easy changes of dimensions and "to order" production.
