Description:
Chalcogenide glasses will be studied as bulk materials and also as thin films, which will be studied as perspective materials for their photoinduced changes and their possible applications. Preparation of micro- and nanostructural elements from thin chalcogenide films will done with the application of optical and electron lithography. A wide range of transition metal complexes stabilized by polydentate ligands will be prepared. The isolated compounds will be characterized using available analytical methods. Their reactivity, catalytic and biological properties will be studied. Study of perspective inorganic materials will be devoted to new and non-traditional crystalline and amorphous materials for optoelectronics, optics and electronics (narrow-gap semiconductors, amorphous and glassy inorganic materials based on chalcogenides, phosphates and oxides, materials for electronic memories based on phase changes and ionic conductivity changes).
