Description:
Based on the experience of the Czech research team at UPCE and the French team at ICMUB in Dijon with analogous systems applicable for effective initiation in polymerizations or copolymerizations and literature research, describing the use of coordination compounds of non-transition metals/elements with ?-electron-rich chelating nitrogen ligands (such as ?-diketiminates), which are able to form a six-membered ring with an active metal center and subsequently function as catalysts/(co)initiators in "ring-opening" polymerizations or copolymerizations of monomer units leading to biodegradable polymers, a framework cooperation on sustainable polymerization research was agreed upon.
