Description:
The project continues the long-term research activities of the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology and the Institute of Energetic Materials in the field of synthesis and study of biological, catalytic, and material properties of new organic compounds, containing mainly heterocyclic skeletons and their mixtures, using modern physical and spectral methods. In some cases, the theoretical study is followed by the solution of practical aspects of the use of the prepared compounds in biological and material applications and in the transformation or storage of energy. A significant part of the project is focused on the preparation and study of the properties of energetic materials (primary explosives, explosives, and pyrotechnic compositions), for which their safe storage and principles for practical use are also addressed. In this context, a methodology is also being created and supplemented, including a detailed analysis of risks when working with these substances and instructions for their safe handling.
