eng Antimicrobial and fotocatalytic effects of hygienic coating Silicone and acrylate paints based on photocatalytic active nanooxides were formulated and evaluated. Antimicrobial properties of coatings were evaluated using agar plate methods and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Penicillium chrysogenum and Aspergillus niger suspension as a testing microorganisms. The antimicrobial activity of coatings was evaluated by dilute and diffuse method. The coatings contained nanoparticles of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide showed the antimicrobial activity against testing microorganisms. Whereas coating with zinc oxides nanoparticles successfully inhibited the growth of both bacteria and fungi, the photocatalytic nanoparticles of titanium dioxide inhibited bacteria but not fungi (weak inhibition has been observed).
