cze Studim výbuchového opracování wolframu Explosive compaction, tungsten powder
eng Studim výbuchového opracování wolframu The direct explosive compaction method was used to compact tungsten powder and its mixtures with other metals (Ni, Co, Fe). The metal powder to be compacted was placed in a metal container with end plugs and surrounded by a concentric cylinder of a suitable explosive of uniform thickness and density. The explosive was initiated at one end in order to achieve axial propagation of the detonation wave along the powder-filled tube. Two important parameters that have an influence on the compaction process were investigated - detonation velocity and E/M ratio (where E is mass of the explosive and M the mass of the powder to be compacted). The results of explosive compaction of pure tungsten powder and its mixtures with other metals were compared. Explosive compaction, tungsten powder
