cze Vliv kombinací přírodních látek na Pseudomonas aeruginosa a Enterococcus feacalis kontaminující kančí ejakuláty Cílem studie bylo vyhodnotit antibakteriální aktivitu různých kombinací přírodních látek vybraných na základě předchozího výzkumu. Kombinace carvacrol + thymol (MBC 300-1200:150-600 μg/ml), carvacrol + cnicin (MBC 75-1200:75-600 μg/ml) a thymol + cnicin (MBC 75-1200:75-300 μg/ml) rozpuštěné v 96% ethanolu byly nejúčinnější kombinace použité proti P. aeruginosa. Carvacrol v kombinaci s thymolem (MBC 37.5-300:37.5-300 μg/ml) a carvacrol v kombinaci s eugenolem (MBC 75-600:75-600) rozpuštěné v 96% ethanolu byly účinné proti E. feacalis. Všechny kombinace nařaděné v 24% ethanolu měly nižší antimikrobiální aktivitu. kombinace přírodních látek, mikrodiluční metoda,E.faecalis,P.aeruginosa
eng Effect of natural substance combinations on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterococcus feacalis contaminating boar semen The aim of the present study was to evaluate the antibacterial activity of various natural substance combinations selected on the basis of our previous research. Minimal bactericidal concentrations (MBC) of carvacrol and thymol in combination with eugenol, cnicin and gallic acid extended in 96% and 24% ethanol were determined using the broth microdilution method. Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterococcus feacalis strains isolated from boar raw ejaculates as well as reference strains of P. aeruginosa ATCC 27853 and E. feacalis ATCC 29212 were the bacterial strains tested. Results were analyzed after 24, 48 and 72 h and substance combinations that showed inhibitory activity were submitted to a subculture of the broth media on blood agar in order to evaluate bacterial growth. The concentration at which there was no bacterial growth after inoculation on blood agar was taken as the MBC. Combinations carvacrol + thymol (MBC 300-1200:150-600 μg/ml), carvacrol + cnicin (MBC 75-1200:75-600 μg/ml) and thymol + cnicin (MBC 75-1200:75-300 μg/ml) extended in 96% ethanol were the most effective combinations used against P. aeruginosa. Carvacrol in combination with thymol (MBC 37.5-300:37.5-300 μg/ml) and carvacrol in combination with eugenol (MBC 75-600:75-600) extended in 96% ethanol exerted good effects on E. feacalis. All combinations extended in 24% ethanol were found to have lower antimicrobial activities. natural substance combinations, microdilution method,E.faecalis,P.aeruginosa
