Homopolymerační reakce byly sledovány při laboratorní teplotě pomocí radikálového iniciátoru Quantacure ITX (2-isopropylthioxanthone), resp. kationtového iniciátoru Irgacure 250 ((4-methylphenyl)[4-(2-methylpropyl) phenyl] iodonium hexafluorophosphate). Konverze funkčních skupin během polymerace byla sledována pomocí FTIR (transmisní, ATR a odrazová technika). Při radikálové polymeraci byla zjištěna vyšší reaktivita GMA než BMO, zatímco konverze GVE byla zanedbatelná. Při kationtové polymeraci sledované transmisní technikou byla pro GVE a BMO zjištěna mnohem vyšší reaktivita než v případě GMA. eng Photopolymerization of monomers with two different reactive groups UV photopolymerization of three bifunctional monomers bearing epoxy and vinyl groups was studied. Monomers used were glycidyl methacrylate (GMA), glycidyl vinyl ether (GVE) and 3,4-epoxy-1-butene (butadiene monoxide, BMO). The homopolymerization experiments were carried out at room temperature using 2-isopropylthioxanthone (ITX) and/or (4-methylphenyl)[4-(2-methylpropyl) phenyl] iodonium hexafluorophosphate (IC250) as photoinitiators. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy was used to follow the functional groups conversion during polymerizations. The transmission, the attenuated total reflectance (ATR) and the specular reflection techniques were applied. During the free radical (ITX) initiated photopolymerization the double bond shows higher reactivity within GMA than BMO, whereas the GVE conversion was negligible. Using the transmission technique, in the presence of IC250 the epoxy group conversion rate is much higher within GVE or BMO as compared with GMA. With GMA photopolymerization monitored by the ATR technique both the reaction rate and the conversion maximum are considerably higher in comparison with the photopolymerization studied by the transmission or specular reflection techniques. photopolymerization;bifunctional monomers;epoxy group;vinyl group;conversion rate, FTIR
