eng The synthesis and spectral properties of N-derivatives of 3-aminoperylene In the connection with the study of excitation energy transfer and spectral properties of the bichromophoric dye ABATClAPy [1], we reported in previous papers on absorption and fluorescence characteristics of N-1,3,5-triazinyl derivatives of 3-aminobenzanthrone (ABA) [2,3] and of 1- and 2- aminopyrenes (APy) [4] moieties. In this contribution, we present some steady state fluorescence characteristics of new bichromophoric dyes APyTClAPer and APyT(APer)2 and of excitation energy acceptor moiety APerTXY (Scheme I).The influence of structure and solvent polarity on absorption and fluorescence spectra and on fluorescence quantum yields are discussed. 3-aminoperylene
