Kombinace teoretických a experimentálních technik může přinést nový vhled do pochopení struktury Cu+ center ve vysokosilikátových zeolitech na atomární úrovni. Adsorpční energie CO u různých center v zeolitech typů MFI a FER se výrazně liší a proto mohou být rozlišeny pomocí teplotně programované desorpce TPD. Srovnání výsledků ab-initio výpočtů s výsledky TPD experimentů umožňuje detailní rozbor struktury těchto center. TPD spektra simulovaná za předpokladu existence tří typů různých adsorpčních center jsou ve velmi dobré shodě s experimentálně získanými. Byla nalezena dobrá shoda mezi interakčními energiemi získanými pomocí QM-Pot metody a desorpčními energiemi CO získanými z TPD experimentů. The combination of the theoretical and experimental techniques could bring new insight to understanding of the structure of Cu+ sites on atomic level in high silica zeolites. The CO adsorption energies on various Cu+ site types in MFI and FER exhibit significant differences, therefore, individual Cu+ site types can be distinguished from the temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) experiments. Comparison of the results of ab initio calculations and the TPD experiments offers the details about the Cu+ site structure and localization in the zeolite channel system at the atomic scale level. The TPD spectra simulated with three-site model are in very good agreement with experimental spectra. A very good agreement between CO interaction energies calculated with QM-Pot method and CO desorption energies from the TPD simulation is found. Two main types of Cu+ sites were identified: (i) the Cu+ sites on the channel wall in the vicinity of single framework Al atom, and (ii) the Cu+ sites on the channel intersection in the vicinity of single framework Al atom.
