Při určování síly Lewisovských kyselých center zeolitů a oxidů je v největší míře používán acetonitril. V tomto příspěvku jsou diskutovány IR spektra d3-acetonitrilu adsorbovaného na povrchu V2O5/ SiO2 katalyzátorů. IR spektra V2O5/ SiO2 a pro srovnání i spektra V2O5, SiO2 byly zkoumány před a po adsorpci d3-acetonitrilu při laboratorní teplotě a při desorpci za téže teploty. Na povrchu SiO2 acetonitril snadno poskytuje komplexy, které vznikají reakcí s povrchovými hydroxylovými skupinami. Tyto komplexy vázané pomocí vodíkových můstků byly odstraněny z povrchu již při evakuaci za laboratorní teploty. Bylo zjištěno, že na površích V2O5 a V2O5/ SiO2 katalyzátorů je acetonitril přednostně vázan na Lewisovských kyselých centrech a v daleko menší míře na Brönstedovských kyselých centrech. Vazba acetonitrilu na Lewisovských kyselých centrech je realizována pomocí volného elektronového páru na dusíku a ionty vanadu. Bylo objeveno, že koordinačně vázaný acetonitril je mnohem více stabilní než-li vodíkovým můstkem tvořený komplex na povrchu SiO2. FTIR spectroscopy, d3-acetonitrile, acid sites

FTIR spectroscopy is one of a few techniques capable of detecting surface compounds in heterogeneous systems. The molecule of acetonitrile is often used as a probe to estimate the strength of aprotic (Lewis) acid centers of zeolites and oxides. In the present work, IR spectra of d3-acetonitrile on V2O5/SiO2 catalysts were studied. The infrared spectra of V2O5 supported on silica and for comparison V2O5, SiO2 were investigated before and after the adsorption of d3-acetonitrile at room temperature (RT) and after desorption at RT. The molecules of d3-acetonitrile easily formed H-bonded complexes on the surface of SiO2. The H-bonding between acetonitrile and the silanol group was very weak (the adsorbed molecules were desorbed immediately upon evacuation at room temperature). For V2O5 and V2O5/SiO2 catalysts, the d3-acetonitrile sorption seems to indicate primarily interaction with Lewis acid site, although Brönsted acid sites are to be expected with these systems. The d3-acetonitrile was adsorbed on surfaces of V2O5 and V2O5/SiO2 by the forming a coordination bond between vanadium ions and the nitrogen lone-pair electrons.
