Kinetická měření byla provedena na přístroji HP UV/VIS-8453 Diode Array v 1 cm uzavíratelné kyvetě při 25 °C. Překvapivě byla zjištěna obecná bazická katalýza. Zjištěné kinetické závislosti umožňují nahrhnout mechanismus sestávající ze vzniku tetrahedrálního intermediátu, který se v rychlost určujícím kroku rozpadá.
eng Azo-coupling in Ionic Liquids The aim of this work is study of kinetics and mechanism of azocoupling reaction of substituted benzendiazonium salts and 2-naphthol in 1-n-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([bmim]+ [BF4]?) giving substituted 1-phenylazo-2-naphthols. The kinetic measurements were carried out on an HP UV/VIS-8453 Diode Array apparatus in 1 cm closable cell at 25 °C. Surprisingly it was found that the azocoupling reaction is subject to general base catalysis in contrast to water where specific base catalysis make itself felt. The kinetic dependences found allow one to suggest the following mechanism for the azocoupling reaction. First, a fast pre-equilibrium produces 2-naphthoxide, which undergoes reaction with substituted benzendiazonium tetrafluoroborate to give tetrahedral intermediate.
