eng	Simulation of temperature distribution at conditions approaching slow cookoff	The temperature distribution during heating of the cylinder charge of RDX is simulated using FE (Finite Element) code LS-DYNA. The geometry and heating rate are chosen to be similar to slow cookoff test. The results are compared with previous simulations performed in ANSYS Multiphysics, another FE code, and with the results of published experiments carried out in similar geometry and heating rate.
