eng Synthesis and characterization of NASICON-type titanium phosphate MgTi4(PO4)6 Preparation of the MgTi4(PO4)6 NASICON-type glassy-crystalline material by controlled crystallization of magnesium-titanium borophosphate glasses and subsequent acid leaching of crystalline products was studied. Borophosphate glasses were prepared in the compositional series 30MgO-20B2O3-xTiO2-(50-x)P2O5 (x=0-25mol% TiO2). Study of physico-chemical properties of the prepared glasses showed that with increasing TiO2 content their chemical stability increases. Thermal behavior of the glasses was studied by DTA within the temperature range of 20-1000°C. The obtained DTA curves showed that all prepared glasses crystallize under heating within the temperature range of 695-720°C. The X-ray diffraction measurements showed that major compounds formed by crystallization were Mg2P2O7, TiP2O7, BPO4 and MgTi4(PO4)6 and their amount was dependent on the glass composition. phosphate glasses, borophosphate glasses, crystallization, magnesium, titanium
