eng Study of Crystallization Processes in Zinc Antimonato-Phosphate Glasses Glass samples of the system ZnO-P2O5-Sb2O3 were prepared and studied in three compositional series (60-x)ZnO-xSb2O3-40P2O5, 50ZnO-xSb2O3-(50-x)P2O5, 40ZnO-xSb2O3-(60-x)P2O5. Thermal analysis of the synthesized glasses was carried out on the DTA equipment Netzsch DTA 409. According to DTA curves all prepared glasses crystallize within the temperature region of 364-582 °C. The crystallization products were identified by X-ray diffraction analysis using the Bruker D8 Advance X-ray diffraction analyzer equipped with the database PDF-2. The glassy and crystalline samples were studied also by Raman spectroscopy using Bruker FTIR spectrometer IFS55 with the FRA106 Raman module. The glasses of the series (60-x)ZnO-xSb2O3-40P2O5 with x = 30-60 mol% Sb2O3 crystallize in two steps, the first crystallization occurs in the temperature region of 364-428 °C, the second crystallization occurs in the temperature region of 427-582 °C. The crystallization products consisted mostly from zinc phosphates and antimony orthophosphate SbPO4. The relative amount of SbPO4 in the crystallization products of the glass series (60-x)ZnO-xSb2O3-40P2O5 increased with increasing content of Sb2O3 in the glasses. The Raman spectra confirmed the presence of SbPO4 as well. The study of two-step crystallization in these glasses showed that the first crystallization corresponds to the formation of SbPO4 crystals, while after second crystallization step other antimony compounds or zinc phosphates and antimonates are formed. On the crystallization boundary the formation of crystalline compounds such as Sb2O4 and ZnSb2O6 containing antimony in the valency state +5 was observed. phosphate glasses, structure, properties, zinc, antimony
