U skel byly zjišťovány některé fyzikální vlastnosti (hustota, molární objem) a termické vlastnosti (teplotní roztažnost, teplota skelné transformace, krystalizační teplota). Struktura skel byla studována pomocí Ramanovy spektroskopie.
eng Effect of TiO2 on the structure and properties of 30K2O-30BaO-40P2O5 +xTiO2 glasses The glasses of compositional series 30K2O-30BaO-40P2O5+xTiO2 were prepared by melting at 1200-1300 °C followed by slow cooling in air (for glasses with x = 0-40 mol%TiO2) or by quenching between two copper blocks (for glasses with x = 50-60 mol%TiO2). The obtained glasses were slightly yellowish due to the presence of small amount of Ti3+ ions. The glasses were characterized by the determination of their physical properties (density, molar volume) and thermal properties (thermal expansion coefficient, glass transition and crystallization temperatures). Structure of glasses was studied by Raman spectroscopy. Thermal analysis showed that the glass transition temperature increases with increasing TiO2 content within the temperature region of 450-630 °C, whereas the thermal expansion coefficient decreases from 20 ppm/K to 11 ppm/K. These data confirm the strengthening of chemical bonds inside the glass structure with increasing TiO2 content accompanied by an increasing chemical durability of TiO2-doped glasses. All the glasses crystallize on heating within the temperature range 542-791°C. According to the Raman spectra the incorporation of TiO2 into the glass structure network results in the shift of dominant Raman band at 1050 cm-1 to lower wavelengths up to 1004 cm-1 which is due to the incorporation of titanate polyhedra into the structural network. The Raman spectrum of the starting phosphate glass is characteristic of the presence of diphosphate units Q1, whereas Raman spectra of Ti-rich glasses contain bands positioned close to the region characteristic of isolated PO4 (Q0) units. phosphate glasses, structure, properties, barium, potassium, titanium
