Experimenty byly prováděny na trubkových keramických membránách z oxidu hlinitého. eng Application of Microfiltration and Ultrafiltration for Treatment of Fermentation Broths during the Antibiotics Production The possibilities of separation of suspended solids-free biomass and non consumed substrates from fermentation broths from fermentation technology for production of antibiotics were examined. Microfiltration and ultrafiltration were used as separation processes for removing the solid particles and other compounds from fermentation broths. Experiments were performed on tubular ceramic membranes made from α-Al2O3 with mean size of pores 0.1 μm and 150 kD. The results of the experiments show that cross-flow microfiltration and ultrafiltration are suitable processes for separation of suspended solids and next purification of the fermentation broths from pharmaceutical industry.
