1,3-propandiol;Mikrofiltrace;Zymomonas mobilis;Clostridium butyricum
eng The Biodiol Production: Separation of Model Biomass by Microfiltration Separation of bacteria Zymomonas mobilis from the model fermentation broth is possible with MF. Permeate flux stability seemed well. Flux is sufficiently high during the experiments. The permeate quality was excellent. The concentration of dry biomass in permeate was always below the detection limit of the analytical device. Minimal biodiol loss (less than 5% wt) is probably achievable due to the unproblematic course of filtration. However, maximal concentration of biomass was not reached due to the rather high internal holdup of the unit. It was shown that pressure exceeding 1 bar has no influence on permeate productivity, while decisive influence of cross-flow velocity was proven. 1,3-propanediol;Biodiol;Microfiltration;Zymomonas mobilis;Clostridium butyricum
