eng Identification of Phase II Metabolites of Antineoplastic Agents in Rat Urine Using HPLC/MS/MS Benfluron, dimefluron and their phase I and II metabolites formed during rat biotransformation have been analyzed using HPLC/MS/MS with ESI ionization technique. The emphasis is given on the elemental composition determination of individual metabolites which is based on accurate masses, typically better than 3 ppm mass accuracy even with the external calibration. ESI full scan and tandem mass spectra in both polarity modes are measured for studied samples of rat urine and compared with placebo experiment. Extracted ion chromatograms and chromatograms of constant neutral losses are used for metabolite identification . Concerning phase I metabolites, the expected oxidative and reductive metabolic pathways are observed. Further, phase II metabolites corresponding to subsequent glucuronidation of phase I biotransformation are found. Identification; phase II metabolites; antineoplastic agents; rat urine; HPLC/MS/MS
