eng Analysis of Essential Oils in Herbal Infusions by Means of Single-Drop Microextraction Technique The main aims of this work were the optimization of the SDME extraction conditions for the isolation of essential oils from the herbal infusions and the application of proposed methods to the analysis of various real herbal infusions. The controlled parameters were sampling mode, sample amount, extraction time, extraction solvent and its volume, effect of pH, ionic strange and stirring speed. For the obtained extract analysis the gas chromatography coupled with flame-ionization detector was used. The peak identification was performed by the relative retention indices evaluation and, if possible, confirmed by the standard addition methods. The method of standard addition was used for the quantitative analysis of target compounds. Essential Oils; Herbal Infusions; Single-Drop Microextraction
