eng HPLC/MS Lipidomic Characterization of Human Plasma It is possible to obtain the important information about the composition of lipids in healthy or ill individuals by the HPLC/MS analysis of the total lipid extract. For this purpose, we develop a new method for the characterization of the lipid composition in the biological tissues. This HPLC/MS/MS is developed together with the complementary information from conventional gas chromatography-flame ionization detection profiling of fatty acids after the tranesterification of lipid extracts. The total extract of plasma was fractioned using hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) into individual lipid classes in the first dimension. The use of sub-2 um particles with ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) reduces the analysis time. Lipidomics;plasma;HPLC/MS;GC/FID;UHPLC/MS
