eng Lipidomic profiling of patients with cardiovascular diseases It is possible to obtain the important information about the composition of lipids in healthy or ill individuals by the analysis of the profile of fatty acids and lipids in a biological material. The changes in composition of fatty acids can be registrated with various diseases. The standard method used for determination of the profile of fatty acids in human plasma in the analysis of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) using gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC/FID). The aim of this work is the analysis of profile of lipids in human plasma using GC/FID, GC/MS and hydrophilic interaction high-performance liquid chromatography (HILIC-HPLC/MS) and then the comparison of results from the techniques.
