Detonace parametry byly také počítány pomocí metody Kamlet & Jacobs a EXPLO5 kódu. Kumulativní nálože byly připraveny tak, že u všech byl stejný objem plastické trhaviny, měly stejnou hlavovou výšku a stejný typ měděné vložky, která měla stejné rozměry ve všech případech. Byl učiněn závěr, že detonační parametry a penetrační výkon plastických trhavin na bázi BCHMX jsou vyšší, než těchž na bázi RDX. eng Detonation Characteristics and Penetration Performance of Plastic Explosives Four nitramines, BCHMX, epsilon-HNIW, RDX, and beta-HMX, were studied as extruded plastic explosives bonded by the plastic matrix contains Butadiene-Styrene rubber plasticized by oily material (Formex P1). For comparison, the explosive Formex P1 based on PETN was studied. The detonation velocities, D, were measured experimentally. Detonation parameters were also calculated by means of Kamlet & Jacobs method and EXPLO5 code. Shaped charges filled by the studied explosives and by the same volume, with the same head height and the same type of conical copper liner which has the same dimensions. Penetration performance of shaped charges jets from a fixed selected standoff distance on Aluminum armors was measured. It was concluded that the detonation parameters and penetration performance of the studied plastic BCHMX are higher than the studied plastic RDX.
