eng Evaluation and Application of Solid-Phase Microextraction Method for Analysis of Essential Oils in Herbal Tea Infusions The main aims of this study were the evaluation and the application of the method based on the SPME extraction followed by GC/MS for analysis of essential oils in 10 real herbal infusions. In this case 10 compounds were used for the method validation and these compounds were determined. Other compounds were identified using mass spectrometry detection, comparing the MS spectra with libraries, and finally, relative retention indices were evaluated as well. Moreover, sensoric evaluation of selected samples was performed in order to find out some relation between content of target compounds and suitable sensoric properties of analysed beverages.
