eng Threefold push-pull molecules Triphenylamine derived moiety has been proved as suitable electron-donating group in various push-pull systems with third-order optical nonlinearity. Recently, it has been shown that molecules featuring triphenylamine core showed high two-photon absorption. Thus, threefold push-pull molecules based on peripheral modification of triphenylamine core by electron-acceptors constitute a very promising system for NLO applications. In this work, a versatile method of preparation of such systems will be described. The synthetic approach constitutes of threefold cross-coupling reactions and introduction of peripheral cyano-derived acceptor moieties. Further property tuning was accomplished by p-linker extension and variation. In this way, several new triphenylamine push-pull derivatives were synthesized and their optical properties preliminary examined. triphenylamine; threefold push-pull chromophores
