eng Evaluation of Functional Efficiency of Plant for Biological Treatment of Wastewater from University Hospital This paper is focused on evaluation of functionality efficiency of plant for biological treatment of wastewater. This plant is located in University hospital of Hradec Králové. The examined biological treatment plant belongs to a university hospital representing the largest medical institution not only in Eastern Bohemia but also in the whole Czech Republic. Efficiency of treatment process is evaluated on base of concentration decreasing of total organic carbon (TOC) and total nitrogen (TN) during treatment. In work are shown changes of nitrogen forms in each process. On the basis of analyses of several series of wastewater samples which were taken in the time period of October-December 2012 it was found that the degradation degree of organic substances is about 95.5 %. The presence of nitrogen compounds in effluent stream from purification plant was very variable; he content of nitrates increased; the total decrease in content of nitrogen substances had the average value of 29 %. Biological waste water treatment; infectious water
