eng Structure of selected bifunctional B-diketiminate or B-enaminone complexes The coordination chemistry of metal complexes containing a ?-diketiminate (BDI) or ? enaminone (BEN) as a spectator ligand is a field of interest of approximately last two decades.1,2 The complexes are studied usually for their catalytic activity3 or countless organic transformations.4 Our goal was to modify the structure of regularly used ligands by introducing appropriate functional groups to its structure which could coordinate metal centre and affect higher stability of final metal complexes. BDI or BEN complexes were prepared from deprotonated species and metal chlorides (M=Zn, Sn or Ge). Second way which we chose is reaction of unactivated BDI or BEN and bis- or tris[bis(trimethylsilyl)]amide (M=Sn, Ge, Pb or Ln). Selected BDI complexes (Figure 1) were used as catalysts/initiators for original studies-hydroamination or copolymerization of epoxides with CO2. All prepared compounds were characterized by multinuclear NMR or IR spectroscopy and when it was possible by XRD techniques. bifunctional ligands; B-diketiminate; B-enaminone; complexes
