eng Thermal properties and structural study of lead-antimony phosphate glasses The glasses of ternary system PbO-Sb2O3-P2O5 were prepared in two compositional series (50-x)PbO-xSb2O3-50P2O5 (A) and (40-x)PbO-xSb2O3-60P2O5 (B). Their thermal properties were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), differential thermal analysis (DTA) and thermodilatometry (TMA). In the compositional serie A the homogeneous glasses were prepared in the concentration region of 0-30 mol.% Sb2O3, while in the serie B homogeneous glasses could be prepared in the whole concentration range. The glass transition temperature, Tg, of both series increases with the increasing content of antimony, after 20 mol. % of Sb2O3 both dependencies are approaching each other. The significant structural effect of antimony on the glass structure was also confirmed by compositional dependence of dilatation softening temperature, Td.
