eng Synthesis and UV/Vis study of T-shaped push-pull chromophores Indan-1,3-dione has been chosen as a central acceptor moiety of the proposed organic D--A systems. This strong acceptor system was further modified by electron donors such as N,N dimethylanilino (DMA) and piperidylthiophene (PIT) moieties either on C2 or the fused benzene ring.
