Experimentální data byla doplněna kvantově-chemickými výpočty. Rozsah intramol. přenosu náboje a nelineární optické vlastnosti byly objasněny v rámci vztahů mezi strukturou a vlastnostmi. Elektronická povaha připojeného donoru, délka, planarita a složení π-linkeru (kombinace 1,4-fenylenu, 2,5-thienylenové skupiny a acetylenových podjednotek) jsou nejdůležitějšími faktory, které ovlivňují lineární i nelineární optické vlastnosti. spektrální vlastnosti; elektrochemické vlastnosti; kvadrupolární chrmomofory na bázi tetrafluorobenzenu

Exptl. data were completed with quantum-chem. calcns. The extent of the intramol. charge-transfer and nonlinear optical properties were elucidated in terms of structure-property relationships. The electronic nature of the appended donor group, length, planarity and compn. of the π-linker (combination of 1,4-phenylene, 2,5-thienylene and acetylenic subunits) are the most important factors affecting the linear as well as nonlinear optical properties.
