LC-RP, C30 Carotenoid
eng YMC carotenoid vs. classical reversed-phase columns in liquid chromatography YMC Carotenoid is C30 new bonded silica based reversed-phase column. Compared to classical C18 stationary phases, YMC Carotenoid is much more hydrophobic. Even when pure organic eluents are applied, many sample solutes are retained. We investigated the retention of alkylbenzenes, phenolic acids, flavones, sulfonamides and phthalates on several columns with different lengths and type of bonded stationary phase and compared with new YMC Carotenoid column with potential using in 2D-LC systems.
