eng	Mass spectrometry imaging: overview of techniques and current trends	Basic principles of mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) including sample preparation, selection of suitable MS ionization and analyzer were described in this lecture. Significance of mass, 2D and 3D spatial resolution was demonstrated on particular examples. Current trends, such as improvement of speed of MSI analysis (increase in laser frequency, movement of sample, acquisition speed) or particular resolutions, possibility of quantification in MSI, combination with histological data, etc., were further discussed.
