eng Structure and properties of 1-x(50PbO-20B2O3-30P2O5)-xWO3 glasses Lead borophosphate glasses of the composition (1-x)[50PbO-20B2O3-30P2O5]-xWO3 with 0-40 mol% WO3 were prepared and studied. Thermal studies were carried out with DTA, dilatometry and heating microscopy. The effect of composition on the properties of these glasses and the relations between composition, structure and properties were evaluated. Glass structure was studied by 11B MAS NMR and Raman spectroscopy. These studies were devoted to the investigation of changes in boron coordination in the dependence on changes of WO3 content. A special attention was devoted to the formation of mixed structural units B(OP)4-x(OW)x in the studied borophosphate glasses, revealed from 11B MAS NMR spectra. Changes in the network structure of borophosphate glasses can be deduced also from changes in their Raman spectra, esp. depolymerization of phosphate chains by the incorporation of tungstate units. borophosphate glasses, glass structure, Raman spectra, NMR spectra
