eng Synthesis and Thermal Stability of the Chromium (III) and Cobalt (II) Phosphates (V) as Potential Anticorrosive Pigments The anticorrosive pigments based on hydrated chromium(III) oxides among anticorrosive pigments meeting the ecological requirement for the formulation of eco-friendly coating. The anticorrosive pigments containing Cr(III) cations may be promising alternatives for chromates. The aim if this work was to prepare a new anticorrosive pigments based on chromium(III) and cobalt(II) phosphates(V). The phase equilibrium setting in solid state in the CoO-P2O5-Cr2O3 system has been studied. Four samples were synthesised from mixtures of coating Cr2O3, CoCO3 and (NH4)2HPO4 by the conventional method of stage calcinations. Phase composition of the samples, the DTA investigations, particle size distribution of the samples, the colour properties were studied too. The main attention was focused on determination of the anticorrosive efficiency of samples. Anticorrosive Pigments;Phosphates;Thermal Analysis
