eng Peculiarities of Thermal Decomposition of Synthetic Simonkolleite In present contribution, our attention is focused on the effect of the synthesis conditions (in particular Zn/OH ratio in the matrix solution) on microstructural properties and stoichiometry of the obtained products (Zn5(OH)8Cl2·H2O). To this purpose, we have used thermoanalytical tools (TGA and DTA) which in combination with XRD analysis can provide detailed description of thermal transformations of the investigated material leading to valuable conclusions over its initial stoichiometry and microstructural peculiarities.
