eng	Pyridine as an acceptor moiety in push-pull systems.	We have synthesized twelve pyridine- and pyridinium-terminated push-pull molecules bearing triphenylamine (TPA) donor. These charge-transfer chromophores differ mainly in their spatial arrangement – linear, quadropolar and tripodal (Fig. 1), were prepared by modern cross-coupling reactions (Suzuki-Miyaura, Sonogashira) and N-alkylation in good yields, were fully characterized, and subsequent structure-property relationships were elucidated.	push-pull chromophores, triphenylamine, cross-coupling reactions
