eng Spherulitical crystal growth in Se – Te system Isothermal crystal growth kinetics in Se100-xTex (x = 10; 20; 30) bulk glasses was studied using infrared microscopy [4]. The formed spherulitical crystals grew linearly with time in the whole temperature region (344 – 392 K), which is the sign of liquid – crystal interface kinetics. In the studied temperature range, crystal growth rates exhibit simple exponential behaviour with activation energies Eg = 135 ± 10 kJ/mol for x = 10; Eg = 193 ± 8 kJ/mol for x = 20 and Eg = 176 ± 8 kJ/mol for x = 30. The growth data, corrected for viscosity, suggest normal crystal growth as the most probable mechanism. Spherulitical; crystal growth; Se-Te system
