cze	Nechtěné výsledky analýz bezpečnosti	Před deseti lety jsem slyšel referát o vnímání rizika, ve kterém se autoři pozastavili nad tím, že členové skupiny vystavené mimořádně vysokému riziku nechtěli slyšet výsledky, které je na riziko upozorňovaly, a jednoduché rady, jak riziko snížit. Od té doby jsem si na tuto zkušenost mnohokrát vzpomněl, v malém i velkém měřítku, při dopředných i zpětných analýzách. Jedním příkladem může být výrobna, jejíž vedení po požáru nechtělo slyšet, že událost by se nestala, kdyby jejich postup řízení změn nezůstal na papíře. Jako druhý příklad mi vytane kolega, který byl po analýze zamýšleného poloprovozu metodou Hazop zklamaný radou, aby kyseliny nepřenášel v kbelíku. Třetím příkladem je podnik, kde analýza nehody poukázala na povrchní rozhodování opřené o jediné kritérium. Jako čtvrtý příklad může sloužit podnik, kde byl uvítán výsledek kvantitativní analýzy rizika ukazující, že podnik vyhoví kritériu přijatelnosti, ale nebyl vítán dovětek dodávající, že tento výsledek platí jen za předpokladu, že jsou dodržovány vnitřní postupy. Ve všech těch příkladech analýza bezpečnosti zúčtovala s nadějí, že by šlo bezpečnost zlepšit zvnějšku, bezbolestně, třeba nějakou zázračnou pilulkou. Analýza místo toho jen vynesla na světlo výsledky, které v podstatě byly známy, ale nikdo je nechtěl slyšet. Nechováme se v zájmu bezpečnosti, a měli bychom své chování změnit. eng	Unwelcome results of safety analyses	Ten years ago I heard a report about the perception of risk in which the authors commented on the fact that members of a group exposed to extremely high risk had not wanted to hear the results, which had pointed to the risk, and simple advice on how to reduce their risk. Since then, I had to remind this experience many times, in both small and large scale, during both the forward and reverse analysis. One example might be a factory, management of which after the fire did not want to hear that the event would not have happened if the change management process did not remain on paper. As a second example I recall a colleague who has been disappointed by the result from Hazop analyzis of a proposed pilot plant which recommended not to transfer the acid in the bucket. The third example is an enterprise where the accident analysis pointed to a superficial decision based on a single criterion. As the fourth example may serve the company where they welcome the result of the quantitative risk analysis showing that the company complies with the criterion of acceptability, but they did not welcome a postscript stating that this result is valid only if the internal procedures are followed. In all these examples, the analysis of safety terminated the hope that safety could be improved painlessly, eg. applying a miracle pill. Instead the analysis brought to light results that basically were known, but no one wanted to hear them. We often do not act in the interest of safety, and we should change our behavior.
