eng Photopolymerization of acrylate monomers induced by UV-LED The aim of this work was to study the free radical polymerization reactions induced by UV-LED operating at 385 nm. Pentaerythritol triacrylate and tripropylene glycol diacrylate as reactive monomers were used. Initiating systems consisted of bis(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)-phenylphosphineoxide (Irgacure 819) and additives as isopropyl thioxanthone, triethanol amine in varying concentrations. A medium pressure mercury lamp was used as the UV source reference. The degree of conversion was evaluated based on results obtained by FTIR spectroscopy. Absorption characteristics of all components were evaluated by UV/VIS spectroscopy UV LED; radical polymerization; FTIR
